Advancing Food Security and Livelihood for Women

Food insecurity and lack of sustainable opportunities for disadvantaged women expose them to numerous challenges, including sexual exploitation, STIs, poverty, malnutrition, and limited access to healthcare and education of their children.

Improving food security and sustainable livelihood opportunities for disadvantaged women can empower them in various ways. It can enhance their economic independence, enable them to support their families, increase their participation in decision-making processes, and contribute to overall community development. Food security can improve the overall health and welfare of the woman and her family.

Every year, FOWACE identifies, trains and empowers over 300 disadvantaged women in food production.
